Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 has come and gone. My mother and father in law decided this was going to be the last traditional Christmas Eve Chili Supper at their home. Although this makes us very -we are also experiencing some excitement to carry the tradition on at our home.

This was a sad Christmas for many various reasons and I just have to remember that when life gets too hard to stand....kneel and pray. Why is it that the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is so stressful and goes by so incredibly fast? Well, the adult in me is very glad that this is finally the week after Christmas.

Looking back over this past year 2009, so much has happened in our family. Things that I just did not feel I could share here. Things that have absolutely left its toll on my heart. I am trying hard to prevail....but some days are just sadder than others. Since I did not feel I could share these things here on my blog, well I tended to not post at all. This has got to change for many, many reasons....

One being that my eating is terrible. I refuse to make dieting a New Year's resolution. Instead, I am praying for a word to focus on and incorporate in my life again this coming year 2010. In 2009 I focused on "hope". I am going to read back over those posted and pray about what I should focus on for myself and my family in 2010.

Hope you have a great week and take time to kneel...

Christmas Shopping

It's almost that time again!!! Can you believe we are nearing the end of September? I started my Christmas shopping about one month ago, buying a few things each paycheck. I don't want to wait until the last minute as I do every year. Actually finding myself trying to be a little better prepared. I would try to do this after WalMart did away with the ole layaway program. I wonder if any stores are offering layaways now??

Anyway, hope you are all thinking about getting started. Even though fall has just arrived Christmas is just around the corner!
